A former Disney Channel actor has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery.
Adam Hicks, 25, along with 23-year-old girlfriend Danni Tamburo, were arrested on Wednesday as possible suspects in a series of armed robberies. They’re both currently being held on $350,000 bail.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Sgt. Derek Green of the Burbank Police Department said that Hicks “was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with a string of armed street robberies that occurred yesterday morning.”
A press release was sent by Burbank Police early Thursday afternoon which gave further details. According to the release, a 52-year-old man was walking in downtown Burbank when he was approached by “a male armed with a handgun.” The male then demanded the 52-year-old’s wallet.

The 52-year-old apparently escaped safely and reported the attempted robbery to police. After police arrived to take his statement, three additional robberies occurred in the same area within minutes of each other.

Victims and witnesses were able to identify the getaway car as a darkly colored Kia which was then spotted by police cruisers. It is believed that Tamburo was the getaway driver, but the press release did not specify.
“Officers found property with the vehicle belonging to one of the robbery victims, and additional stolen property in a nearby area,” according to the press release.
Reps for Hicks declined to comment at this time.
Hicks is perhaps best known for his appearances on several Disney Channel television programs, including Zeke and Luther where he played the titular Luther, a young man trying to become the best skater in the world along with his best friend Zeke. He also starred in Lemonade Mouth as Wendell "Wen" Gifford, and in Pair of Kings as Boz.
Most recently Hicks is set to star in the second season of Hulu’s horror-thriller Freakish, a show where a nearby chemical explosion turns town residents and high school students into mutant freaks. Hicks plays Diesel Turner, the school bully.
UPDATE: Things do not seem to be going well for Hicks. According to TMZ, the judge just raised his bail from $350,000 to $550,000, while a video has surfaced reportedly showing one of Hicks' robberies.
